I can’t begin to express how much I have enjoyed photographing these two over the last year. Their sunset Pismo Beach engagement session hit all the soul filling levels.
To start, Pismo is a gem unto itself. When Vanessa suggested the dunes, my heart pattered a little faster. The ice plants and wild sage was sure to be stunning, and their outfit choices were so on point. We played in the dunes first, finding little nooks and crannies through the vast landscape, and ended our shoot walking through the eucalyptus trees at the Monarch Butterfly Grove a little under a mile away. Past the grove and towards the ocean, there is a cluster of trees growing out from the end of the dunes, showing this array of gorgeous unique scenes that is hard to not to have a photographer’s field day with. Add a STUNNING evening as the sun began to set and it’s absolutely beautiful. But the sweetness and happiness that flows between these two—the way he looks at her, and the way she fits so perfectly in his arms, the quick smiles and laughter—you can’t help but be captivated with how these two love each other.
In a little under two weeks, these two get to tie the knot at their Terra Mia Vineyards wedding in Paso. And I can’t wait. Here is a preview of their engagement session—it’s one of my favorites for sure. xoxo

Gosh Austyn these are all so pretty!
