Three years ago today, Brian and I said “I do” to a life full of adventure, love and commitment to one another. We didn’t have anything special planned for the day – both of us were scheduled to work today and through the evening (we’ll have a date night in about a week to actually go out and celebrate). As I rolled over this morning, wondering if he was ready to get up, he said, “no. But make sure you go down stairs to see what I got you.” I didn’t hesitate. I leaped out of bed and dashed down stairs. On our very messy kitchen table, full of bottles, mail and wedding packages ready to be sent out, there was a lovely arrangement of red roses and daises. On top of a empty used glass, was a quaint lil red box. When I opened it, I about cried.

It is a ring he had made with our kid’s birth stones. I absolutely love it. I adore it.
