Matt and Megan have become some of my favorite people. Not only are they adorable together, they are loads of fun. They both put so much time and effort in making their wedding theirs – the details were stunning and woven everywhere throughout the whole day. This was one of those days that forecast claimed it was to be clear beautiful Colorado skies. Unfortunately that didn’t happen. Not just a little rain cloud came every couple hours over those gorgeous mountains – but intense (gorgeous) storms came again and again and again. The moment Matt opened his eyes for the first look, raindrops started falling; of course we kept shooting the moment that was taking place because Heaven knows, Matt was in awe of his bride. Then the whole ceremony was in beautiful sunlit clear skies – we couldn’t have hoped for more. Of course the moment the reception started and the downpour began once again. As rain will always affect a wedding day and timelines, the thing that matters is the celebrating love and to still enjoy each moment. The rain calmed down slightly just as the sun began to set, providing beautiful rainbows in the sky. We seised the moment and photographed in the sunlit rain, creating some of my favorite photographs of all time.
Megan and Matt – thank you so dearly for letting me witness and document your wedding day and the beautiful story that it told. You two are wonderful. Much love and all the joy imaginable.
