When a group of friends who happen to also be San Luis Obispo wedding photographers, “competing” to serve the same amazing couples throughout our area, who also have become like sisters, decide to run away together to a lil airbnb in Palm Desert—who also, months in advanced, were protecting and refraining to book work for these specific 4 days in the midst of the craziest season for us… you know you found your people.
And I wouldn’t trade these ladies for the world. We rally around each other, are often each other’s backups in work and life, and my life would be much more bleak if it wasn’t for each one of them.
Taking a trip together was one of the highlights of my year, and this gorgeous villa was pure gold; I’m pretty sure all of our jaws dropped when Necia sent us the link… and then again as we pulled into the driveway… and a third time as we walked through it’s courtyard gates.
The property is snucked away on the edge of a hill with views overlooking the valley. Hottub and pool included, along with the most perfectly designed garden throughout. I would find myself waking up before the sunrise and sit throughout the grounds in awe, watching the sun as it would begin to illuminate the magical place we had found ourselves in. The main house includes the kitchen, living room and dining room, along with 2 bedrooms. Across the courtyard is a second building that holds three more bedrooms. I can’t recommend this place enough. It’s perfect for a friend group stay, extended family vacation and totally can provide a perfectly intimate wedding location (and I know 6 photographers who would love to capture it for you!). The grounds are immaculate and the history of the front garden is heart-tugging. We were there in the beginning of November the days we perfectly warm and the evenings were delightful as we sunk in the hot tub.
Tina, thanks for dreaming this into life. Kelley, thanks for running away with Tina earlier in the year to spark this lil getaway (and making sure Tommy Bahama’s was visited more than once). Necia, thanks for being a wizard at finding this stunning gem! Tayler, thanks for being the cutest pregnant lady and always keeping conversations rolling. And Jess, thanks for being the absolute perfect roommate. You ladies are the bestest—I’m so immensely grateful to and for you!
