An Autumn Dolphin Bay Resort Wedding in Pismo Beach

It is not lost on me how special this all is; being able to walk into a wedding day, only have maybe met the Bride and the Groom, and being witness to a day that is the beginning of a family legacy. I fall in love with their families, with their stories, with their love and admiration for each other—all of this washes over me again and again. When I say it’s an honor these couples welcome me into their day, I say that wholeheartedly.

Kelly and Charlie’s Dolphin Bay Resort Wedding was beyond beautiful and had so many hidden gems throughout the day. We watched the sky transform from a foggy marine layer, to the sun breaking through during the ceremony, to one epic sunset that drew everyone back outside during the reception. And let me tell you, I have never seen a dance floor SO full and so energetic in my career. Goodness! This union had been long waited for, and all the joy and celebration surrounding it is evidence of how perfect Kelly and Charlie are for each other. Their story is beautiful, and we all were wiping away tears here and there throughout the ceremony and toasts.

I admire these two. The thoughtfulness that was poured into this day, (I know Kelly receives most of that credit)—it was gorgeous. But the thing that lingers and fills my memory from this day is the company that surrounded these two. Their families. Their friends. And the way Kelly and Charlie graciously made sure they all knew how important each of their guests were to them. It was beautiful and so soul-filling.
