Theresa and Brian’s big dream wedding came to a halt as the world began to watch and attempt to mitigate the pandemic that was sweeping across it. Like so many others, they ditched their original plan, had backyard nuptials in the summer of 2020, and decided to turn their dream Cass Winery Wedding into a way to celebrate their marriage, surrounded by friends and family they have been eager to see over the last year.
While all of us can say we had no idea what our lives were going to look like as we walked through the spring of 2020, Theresa and Brian had one other magical surprise that made this specific day even more beautiful. They got to say their one-year vow renewal while holding onto their lil baby girl (goodness, just writing that brings tears to my eyes). Kaia is such blessing and I can’t get enough of her smile and joy.
We all know walking through a pandemic has put a lot of things into perspective. Walking through a wedding day with a baby does the same. Since their birth, you’ve experienced and learned a new level of love you never felt or imagined before. The day is no longer about the two of you—it’s about the three of you, it’s about her. Kaia is a pure reflection of the love that exists between Brian and Theresa. And goodness! It was such an honor to be able to not only photograph this day, but watch these two be parents. It’s beautiful. Ah, now I’m a puddle.
This day was beautiful. A Cass Winery Wedding is always a good idea, and I hold this day a lil more special to me. And the crew I got to work alongside and serve this sweet family was epic. Theresa’s design aesthetic was so fun to play with and photograph. Nikki with Fluid Blooms hit this one out of the park with all the florals! Kaylan of Bundle and Bash helped the day flow without a hitch, and it’s always a pleasure to work with Nichole Potter + Anna Grimes for Hair & Makeup. Seabreeze Cupcakes kept everyone’s sweet tooth happy and Bessy the VW Foto Bus was the BEST entrance for Theresa + Kaia as they walked down the aisle (and it’s such a fun photobooth during the reception!).
