Everything about this wedding makes my heart explode. Jaime and Jared have been living in Dallas the past couple years and decided to have a destination wedding in Estes Park, Colorado. During their search for vendors, Jaime emailed me asking if we could meet and chat about photographing their day. In the mist of emails, she explained she and Jared were doing a beer tour in hopes to find amazing craft beer to have at their wedding during their next visit to Colorado. If you know me, this produced a happy dance. There was no question – we met at Left Hand Brewery to talk all things wedding. They originally hired me as a Colorado based wedding photographer, though because of the move they ended up getting a San Luis Obispo wedding photographer instead.
Della Terra Mountain Chateau is one of my favorite venues in Colorado. It is stunning, raw, and simply elegant in the most organic form. The staff there… I just can’t say enough. I love, LOVE, working with them. They take care of our clients so well and the day always rolls so beautifully. No surprise Jaime and Jared fell in love with everything they had to offer as well.
Jaime + Jared planned their wedding around the idea of all their friends and family to come enjoy all the beauty and adventure Estes Park has to offer. They rented out cabins and rooms on the grounds for everyone to be able to enjoy the days surrounding their wedding. They designed their cocktail hour to represent a beer garden with some of their favorite beers, majority from Colorado. On their beer list, they listed a fun fact or why they love it so. I even got a shout out on the list! For their engagement session, I had recommended Epic Brewery in Denver solely because I wanted to them to try Brainless on Peaches. Low and behold, they had it at their wedding.
Like many weddings, the groom will have no idea what the bride’s dress will be like. Jaime and Jared also decided that the bride wouldn’t know what the groom would be wearing – their first look is one of my favorites. They were both excited to see each other. Jared’s expression – out of this world. Jaime was wearing a very non traditional rose gold color wedding dress (love love love) by Binzario Couture. It was stunning! Jared wore a handsome combination of linen and suede that paired perfectly with the uniqueness of this day. Their amazing rings were also created by The Diamond Doctor in Dallas – Jared’s ring edges and underneath carried that same rose gold color – it is so cool.
Along with so many other amazing parts of their day, they commissioned Blackbelly catering. It was amazing. By far, the best food I had ever had at a wedding. The best part, they set up stations around the room, encouraging their guests to try a bit of everything. My mouth is still watering thinking about it all. And then the ice cream truck rolled up. White Whale Ice Cream Truck created unique flavors for ice cream sandwiches as their “wedding cake.” It was so perfect and so tasty.
I could go on and on and on about this day. Jaime and Jared, I am so grateful to have met you and had been able to help preserve your wedding story for years and decades to come. Thank you so much for letting me be apart. Sending so much love, well beer wishes, and hope you visit the Central Coast winey country someday soon. xoxo. Cheers + Love!
